It’s All About Embellishments!
We had a great time at this event, which is over.
For Summer Sewing Fun 2016, we are excited to announce that nationally-known designer and teacher Gail Patrice Yellen will be presenting a full-day hands-on workshop on Saturday, August 13. This workshop is great for novices as well as experienced sewers.
The right embellishment can make any sewing project go from mundane to marvelous! And the best part is, you can create exquisite embellishments using a very basic zigzag- capable sewing machine. Applique, reverse appliqué, “windows,” charming window dressing, cool button stacking combos, and couching – you’ll experiment with all of them. You’ll get great tips for perfect topstitching, threads, and presser feet and see Gail’s favorite notions. Once you’ve mastered some wonderful techniques on your sewing machines, Gail will present a lecture/demo on even more embellishments to add to garments, bags, home décor, or quilting projects. Gail’s trunk show will inspire you with new ideas, and you will see her latest pattern, Triangulate the Tee!
Whether you are a garment, home décor, or quilting sewist, you will learn beautiful embellishment techniques to transform your projects into works of art!
